Neigh-Lox is a nutritional supplement consisting of a combination of antacids and coating agents designed to reduce the clinical signs often associated with gastric ulcers. Neigh-Lox is not a cure for ulcers, but a way to manage horses with mild to moderate ulceration (grades 1-3) and to delay the return of the condition in horses that have already been treated with medication for gastric ulcers. Ulcers are rarely fatal in racehorses, but their effects on performance are often profound. By reducing the discomfort that is associated with gastric ulcers, Neigh-lox allows racehorses with mild ulceration to continue to train and race.
