A specialist showjumping saddle that’s good looking enough to grace any competition arena, whatever level you are competing at. Also perfect if you just enjoy schooling and hacking at home, or maybe some cross country fences too.
- The tree and points are designed to support the front of the panel and allow freer shoulder movement
- Gorgeous soft leather on all the 'contact points': seat, skirt and knee pads
- The flap is forward cut to accommodate a jumping leg position
- The secure seat with a low cantle doesn’t restrict the jumping position, but allows you to shift your weight and maintain your centre of balance over the fence
- Adjustable and changeable Velcro knee block to fine tune the leg support required when jumping
- Available in one panel profile (standard) but thanks to the SimaTree R-Bar this saddle can be adjusted to suit high wither and standard wither fits

Changeable Gullet
Easily change the gullet bar to best fit the width of the horse’s withers
Gullet Bar Widths
NB: There are two gullet bar lengths (R and S type) to suit the specific tree designs. *XXW (Silver) size is available in S-Bar only.
Step 1: Use the hex key to remove the 2 screws at the front of each panel.
Step 2: Slide the panel off the point of the tree.
Step 3: Unscrew all four bolts in the gullet bar and remove the gullet bar.
Step 4: Insert different width of gullet bar. Insert all four bolts by hand then secure. Use the indent in the tree to position the bar facing the right way.
Only SimaTree gullet bars are suitable for Thorowgood saddles. You must NOT use any other bar in your Thorowgood saddle.
The S-Bar and R-Bars are not interchangeable. You must use the correct bar for your saddle model.
Changeable Girth Straps
The moveable girth strap can be positioned on the back ring to achieve optimal saddle stability
Step 1: Feed the strap through the ring with the point upwards and the top side of the strap facing down against the sweat flap.
Step 2: Curl the strap round and through the webbing loop
Step 3: Pull the strap tight ensuring the webbing loop lies flat against the top of the strap. (Reverse the above steps to remove a girth strap).
